MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

This is an 8 -week course designed by Jon Kabat Zinn as a more holistic way of dealing with physical and mental pain. He noticed by dealing with a lot of patients that the aversion to pain as a mind state, added an extra layer to the already existing physical pain.

By not wanting the pain, it is going to be exaggerated. 

The MBSR course is build on understanding how the mind works on a scientific and physiological level and how we have a choice in responding to challenges.

By knowing what the content of our thinking is, we can see if it holds value for our present moment experience; or if the mind is spinning a story from past into future, with little room for now.

The course is build on self reflective learning, which will create a deeper inside for each indiviudial participant.

It is important to follow the guidelines of daily practise as this will lead to retraining the brain.

 

The course is run for 8 weeks one evening/morning class of 2.5 hours each.

Participants will get a very informative course book and three CD's to practise with.

Also one retreat day is included, to give people the opportunity to immerse themselves fully into the practise in a supportive and nurturing environment.
