Creative Journey

My love for Art and all things creative, has brought me on a lovely journey over the last years. Seeing that beauty is in everyting, I have worked in a diversity of medias. Starting of with Photograhy, still very much a big part of my work, also textiles and lately the medium of film. This summer I started a new adventure into the wonderful world of watercolours. Since I am living in a most beautiful place on the westcost of Ireland, it is not hard to get inspired.

My work as an Arts Facilitator is mainly with Elderly people in the local Community Hospital. It is a wonderful job, to connect people with their creative side and it can also be quite healing.

In 2014 the Installation "Offerings", was created for Feile na Beiltanna, Art Festival in Dingle, Co.Kerry, Ireland. Inspired by a visit to Thailand and the way people where giving offerings to the Buddha Altars/temples or holy trees all around this beautiful country.

In May 2015 I facilitated an Exhibition at the local Community Hopsital. The Installation was based on memories/stories the Elderly Residents had told me. I brought those stories into the local primary schools where the children made some beautiful drawings from the stories they heard.

I also made a short film, featuring life stories, song and dance between the generations.

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
